Ruhuna Rhinos SLPL T20 2012 Team Squads, Players List and Match Schedules

SLPL 2012 the new version of T20 inter provincial cricket tournament is ready to start it’s season by 19th of July at Colombo. Seven teams representing seven provinces of Sri Lanka will compete for the first Sri Lankan Premier League title. Ruhuna Rhinos lead by Lasit Malinga is one of the team among them.

Ruhuna Rhinos SLPL T20 2012  Team in a Nutshell

Ruhuna Rhinos based in Gilly represents Southern Province of Sri Lanka in SLPL T20. The name Ruhuna  after Kingdom Ruhuna, an ancient kingdom whose capital situated in southern province. Pearl Overseas Limited purchased the team for $4.6 million in 2012. They will own the team for seven years, after which a new agreement may be negotiated.

Star Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi joined the franchise for the 2012 season after leaving Nagenahira Nagas for low payments. Pakistani fast-bowling legend Waqar Younis joined as the head coach of the franchise.
